Die neusΓΌdarabischen Sprachen sind eine kleine Untergruppe der semitischen Sprachen, die ihre Heimat im Γ€ußersten SΓΌden der arabischen Halbinsel haben. Sie umfassen Mehri, Jibbāli (auch ŚαΈ₯eri), αΈ€arsΕ«si, HΓ³byΓ³t, Bathari und SoqoαΉ­ri. Bei diesen Sprachen handelt es sich weder um Dialekte der arabischen Sprache noch um Nachfahren des AltsΓΌdarabischen. Mehri, αΈ€arsΕ«si und Bathari sind eng miteinander verwandt; Jibbāli und SoqoαΉ­ri bilden wahrscheinlich ebenfalls eine Gruppe. Die Sprachen sind nur lΓΌckenhaft dokumentiert. WΓ€hrend fΓΌr das Mehri mehrere Grammatiken, Textsammlungen und WΓΆrterbΓΌcher vorliegen, sind HΓ³byΓ³t und Bathari bislang kaum erforscht.
